FATAL LIGHT

Darkness comes to us full and continuous in its common hue,
Spiked by fireflies, cats eyes blasé yet scarily to the eyes in hearts of men
Wary of night but such darkness is far and few.
Even the brave ones are yet to conquer it.
Light here strolls and spoils night’s cool,
Leaving nature unhappy and livid with a splintered hue
Maybe it was people of light pleasing
Nature and giving man a fiery fume.
Maybe it is. Naturally, but there is no nature in this currency
Like there is fauna in a forest.
There is no nature in people of light
Like there is nature in pitch black night
With its heavens splintered with twinkling stars.
Naturally, that electricity goes off naturally but not this one.
The devil’s hand plays puppet with the hearts of men with this one.
