EACH COTE A POLITICIAN NOSE

Doing what you ought to do
Is all I ask of you?
When you stand on the mound
Driven by consequence and pound
When you put your dreams aside
When you give up your life’s hopes
For a liberal cause
When you fall in-love with rhetorical posse
To him or her
Who promise you that which
He will not have the time to nurture
Do not be fooled, do not be fooled
By words with sweet, sweet taste
And promissory notes of leisure
For each cote is the same
As every politician’s nose
